Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced JDE (JD Edwards) Technical and System Administrator with over 10 years of hands-on expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications and architecture, coupled with strong system administration capabilities. They will play a pivotal role in maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing our JDE system to ensure seamless operation and maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and administer JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system components, including but not limited to servers, databases, web servers, and application servers.
· Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal system performance and availability.
· Implement and maintain security protocols, user access controls, and role-based permissions within the JDE environment.
· Conduct regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures to safeguard critical data and ensure business continuity.
· Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, resolving issues related to JDE applications, interfaces, and system integrations.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and address complex technical problems, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
· Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
· Identify opportunities to enhance and optimize the JDE system to meet evolving business requirements and improve operational efficiency.
· Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and enhancements in coordination with relevant stakeholders, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing activities.
· Evaluate and recommend third-party tools, plugins, and technologies to extend the capabilities of the JDE system and streamline business processes.
· Configure and manage interfaces between JD Edwards and other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and synchronization.
· Collaborate with external vendors and internal teams to design, develop, and implement integrations with third-party applications and services.
· Conduct testing and validation of interfaces to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with business rules and regulations.
· Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users and IT staff to enhance their understanding of JDE system functionalities, usage, and best practices.
· Share technical expertise and insights with team members through mentorship, knowledge sharing sessions, and collaborative problem-solving activities.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in JDE system administration and technical support.
· In-depth knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications, architecture, and modules.
· Proficiency in administering JDE servers, databases (e.g., Oracle), web servers, and application servers.
· Strong understanding of system integration principles, APIs, and data exchange mechanisms.
· Experience with performance tuning, troubleshooting, and system optimization techniques.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Certification are preferred.
· Prior experience in project management, system upgrades, and implementation initiatives is a plus.
