Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Solutioning (Primary)
· Lead discovery, technical assessments, RFPs, and solution design for customers
· Conduct technical presentations and demos to stakeholders
· Build reference architectures and solution accelerators
· Support deal closure with sales team
DevOps & Automation
· Design CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
· Provide expertise in containerization and Kubernetes
· Build Infrastructure as Code frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation)
· Implement observability and monitoring strategies
FinOps & Cloud Cost Optimization
· Drive cloud cost assessment and optimization in customer engagements
· Design cost-optimized architectures (rightsizing, reserved instances, serverless)
· Develop FinOps strategies and cost governance frameworks for customers
· Own ongoing cost optimization initiatives post-engagement
· Build and maintain cost optimization playbooks and best practices
Team Leadership
· Mentor 1–2 engineers in cloud, DevOps, and FinOps
· Conduct architecture reviews
· Act as technical escalation point
Required Experience & Skills
Cloud Platforms (Hands-on with at least one major cloud preferably AWS)
· AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, Cost Explorer)
· Azure (VMs, App Service, SQL Database, Cost Management)
· Google Cloud (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Deployment Manager)
FinOps & Cost Optimization
· Demonstrated experience in cloud cost assessment and optimization
· Understanding of cloud pricing models, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans
· Hands-on with cost management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Other COTS solutions)
· Ability to build cost models and cost-optimized architectures
· Familiarity with FinOps frameworks and chargeback models
DevOps & Automation
· CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins)
· Docker and Kubernetes expertise (or managed services: ECS, AKS, GKE)
· Infrastructure as Code proficiency (Terraform, CloudFormation)
· Scripting in Python, Bash, Go, or similar
Infrastructure & Networking
· Cloud networking design (VPC/VNet, security groups, routing, VPN)
· Storage, backup, and DR strategies
· Monitoring and observability (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana)
· Linux and Windows administration
Required Experience:
· 7–10 years total cloud/infrastructure/DevOps experience
· 2–3 years in solutions architect, technical lead, or pre-sales role
· Strong ability to communicate technical and financial concepts to executives
· RFP, proposal, and deal support experience
· Excellent presentation and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
· Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Engineer, GCP Professional Cloud Architect)
· FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) or similar
· Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD)
· Consulting, services, or MSSP background
· Experience with third-party FinOps tools
· Thought leadership presence (blog, LinkedIn, tech communities)
