Lifecycle Management

The automated process of managing a user's identity and access rights from the moment they join an organization through role changes to the day they leave.

What is Lifecycle Management?

Identity Lifecycle Management ensures that user accounts and their associated access rights are created, modified, and removed automatically in response to HR events throughout an employee’s tenure. When a new employee joins, lifecycle management creates their accounts and provisions appropriate access based on their role. When they transfer to a different department, their permissions are updated to reflect their new responsibilities. When they leave the organization, all their accounts are immediately deprovisioned a critical control that is frequently overlooked and a common cause of security incidents involving former employees. Automated lifecycle management reduces the manual burden on IT teams while significantly improving security and compliance.
